Jean Vanier

Doctor of Philosophy, writer, moral and spiritual leader, and founder of two major international community-based organizations, "L’Arche" and "Faith and Light," dedicated to people with disabilities, particularly intellectual disabilities. Investigations commissioned by L'Arche International have confirmed the grave responsibility of Father Thomas Philippe (first in 2015) and Jean Vanier (2020) regarding several women. Here is the most recent statement which unreservedly condemns these actions as being "in total contradiction with the values Vanier claimed to stand for" and with the "fundamental principles of our communities."
