A missionary October from some unspecified year, marked by Don Tonino Bello's brief reflections. Strikingly relevant for Christians reading them today. The book opens up the dimensions through which the concept of mission unfolds — dimensions that do not offer us the comfort of a clear conscience when we send or support a chosen few to distant lands. Instead, they point to something far more demanding: the need for each of us to "see through the eyes of the poor" and look at the world around us, beginning with those nearest to us — our families, our parishes — searching for the face of Jesus in the faces of our brothers and sisters.
