The Bride and I Both Wore White
Benedetta at Lorenza's wedding

I was a bridesmaid at Lorenza's wedding. I was so happy. There were three of us. My dress was beautiful, white. Everyone said so. It was very long, but then Bruna the seamstress shortened it. Lorenza wore white too. I had to carry a white flower in my hand. I had such a good time. Especially because I was the bridesmaid. Lorenza was my teacher for a long time. She cares about me, and I care so much about her. I've always been well with her. Her husband is called Marco, and I like him. I like her parents and her brothers and sisters too. After mass we went to eat at a restaurant, but it was very far away, at Lake Bracciano. I ate a lot and it was delicious. I had fun because I talked to everyone and then I danced a lot. I got very upset at the end because we left while people were still dancing. But I wanted to stay. I got home at 2 in the morning. But I wasn't tired at all. Because I only get tired if I'm not having fun. But at the wedding party I was having fun—and how!
The next day I went to Arianna and Vittoria's confirmation, but this time it was close to home. At mass I sang because the songs were the ones I sing on Sundays at my parish church at noon with my choir. When the bishop arrived—his name is Flavio—he greeted me right away before mass started. Then when he came in with the procession he greeted me again. After mass we went to eat at a restaurant, and this time too I ate really well and a lot. The cake especially was very good, and I asked for more slices. But I think the party ended too soon, even though there was no dancing. I wanted to stay longer, but everyone left because it was getting late. I didn't want to go home at all because I love parties so much because there are so many people and you can talk and laugh together. A few days before that I had gone to a party at a nightclub. That was fun because there were lots of people I know, but I drank Fanta and I don't like it. I prefer plain water. OL
