Laura Coccia
Born in 1986, running, 3 months early. An infection 20 days after birth left its mark on the way she walks and moves. After her Scientific High School studies, Laura Coccia studied Contemporary History at Sapienza University in Rome, earning her Research Doctorate in 2015. At 27 years old she was elected to Parliament where she served as a Deputy for the entire XVII Legislature and was a member of the Culture, Science and Education Commission, working on school inclusion, sports and equal opportunities. Now she writes and works on communication and breaking down the stereotypes and prejudices that surround especially women with disabilities.
