At Ombre e Luci, we have long believed that access to meaningful work is essential for adolescents and adults with intellectual disabilities. We are equally convinced that such work requires careful preparation and some form of support or protection—so that the work itself bears fruit, and confers on the person who does it the dignity of being a worker.

We believe that today's social cooperatives of type B represent a valid response to these fundamental needs.
