Hello, everyone! We are Antonietta and Federico, and we both belong to the San Gregorio community, which is part of Faith and Light. It's an international movement—not just in Italy, but around the world. Faith and Light works to support families who have members with both severe and mild disabilities. It has been present in Italy for fifty years, and here in our parish for thirty-five. Outside you'll find our Christmas market, set up by us members of Faith and Light, from our community.
Everything in the market has been made by the young people in our community and by those who support us during our activities and brief gatherings. Faith and Light helps us walk a path out of loneliness. When families discover their child has a disability, they often withdraw from society. But Faith and Light, in its own small way and through the life it creates, helps families come back in—because we don't like being alone. That's why today I'm helping Federico send you this message. As you can see, he faces some challenges; I have mine. We make up for each other, each giving what we can, like the small gift that Faith and Light has taught us and our families to share. Because we don't want to feel different! Thank you all!
