Two men from Turin, both in wheelchairs after accidents, joined forces to explore Italy's most beautiful accessible destinations. Viaggio Italia around the world began in 2015 and continues today, proving with courage and optimism that life with a disability can be not just independent but thrilling—even extreme. With artist Marcello Restaldi's illustrations, Ragona and Paiardi come alive in a comic that chronicles some of their boldest adventures: paragliding off Monte Avena near Feltre, water skiing at Recetto outside Novara, rock climbing at Marina di Ravenna, handbike touring between Turin and Venice, whitewater rafting in Calabria. Each experience pushes against their limits—and reveals how much freer they truly are.
