To you,
my child,
who laughs at things
unknown to me,
locked in a world
that has no mirror
in what I see

To you,
my son,
so lost and distant sometimes
yet always near
to my heart,
whether you reach out your open hand
to me and to everyone
or turn away
alone
refusing help

To you,
my son,
to whom I gave life one day
dreaming of greatness
you will never reach

To you
thank you
for being here.
