«At Easter, we experienced a moment of "expressive catechesis." Through the eyes of Simon of Cyrene, we came to understand the path that leads us to discover who we are.
Simon is a man like any other, living a life like so many others — yet something is missing. Simon becomes a different man through an encounter he never sought and cannot escape. His life is made beautiful by the One who gives meaning to all things.
The recital brought together residents, educators, staff members, volunteers, and friars».

This experience, led by Barbara Migliavacca and Fr. Marco Fineo of "La Sacra Famiglia" institute in Cesano Boscone, underscores the power of EXPRESSIVE CATECHESIS.

1. Woman «We lived without really knowing why we did the things we did each day, but something was missing... Simon of Cyrene: «Then we began to hear about Jesus and the wonderful things he did».

2. Samaritan Woman «I met a man I didn't know, and he told me who I am. I met the Messiah. Come and see.

3. Man Born Blind «That man smiled at me and then went away. Glory to him, for he freed me: I can see!».

4. Woman «Even Zacchaeus, after his encounter with Jesus, changed his life — with a little effort. Simon of Cyrene «But I was too lazy».

5. Simon of Cyrene «One day, though, I helped him carry the cross. And a new day began for me too».

6. Woman «A new day that has continued and will continue!».

7. Simon of Cyrene «That man, Jesus, did not stay on the cross: he rose!».

8. Voice «But if it's all so beautiful, I want to meet Jesus too!». Simon of Cyrene «Then come with us!». Voice «Here I am!».

9. All «Each one with our own name, each one with our own face, we will stay together. We are a sign of Jesus living here with us in our community!»
