Delia Mitolo attended this congress as a representative of Fede e Luce. Fifty-six movements were represented, each with its own charisms, experiences, and aims, yet all united by a common purpose: to seek out and bear witness to the presence of Christ in the world. What struck Delia most was the Church's genuine and welcoming embrace; the real brotherhood and desire to communicate between lay people and the consecrated; the earnest effort of representatives to understand one another and deepen their mutual knowledge. After this experience, Delia shared with us some reflections she found valuable for Fede e Luce.
- 1) Formation
We need stronger formation—ongoing formation with at least one gathering each month. Regular Gospel reading and prayer in our groups. To make this happen, we need spiritual guides who truly accompany our communities.
- Evangelization
We must feel the call to bring Jesus into the world as we are able, inviting others more often to share in the realities of daily life—taking our young people with us to the cinema, to public places, to cafés—and trusting that the Holy Spirit will do the rest.
- Communion
- Relationship with the Church
Always seek a harmonious relationship with the local Church. This is not optional—it is essential for a true spiritual journey.
We need more tender, personalized accompaniment of families. Enter into their lives; live in common as much as possible. Spend a day together as a family; invite a young person to your home for a day. Small acts like these matter.
