How Beautiful It Is

Introduction:

Oh how beautiful to be here united
Oh how beautiful, God comes among us
Oh how beautiful to be all together,
Oh how beautiful to carry joy in our hearts!

From far away we have come and now we are here
Happy together, now that we have found one another.
From far away we have come and here we wish to pray
To know, all united, the joy of singing.

So many people; we have so many friends.
We are here, great and small; it is God who has brought us together,
So many people! and we are all brothers and sisters
The God who has gathered us is Father of us all,

And all gathered here we sing our faith
The Tomb of St. Peter calls us to this
We have arrived here, come from far away
We form one family, the Spirit guides us

With Peter his friend, Jesus spoke often
They spoke of God, of what He did
To Peter, his friend, Jesus granted forgiveness
Because our God can make all things new.

In Paul Jesus found another friend
He who loved the peoples of the world so dearly!
He walked the streets to meet the people
He carried the word of Christ who lives,

Refrain:
When we meet, O Lord
you change our hearts with your love
and then united together with you
we will be witnesses of your love
