I loved the camping experience because we did so many interesting and beautiful things.
On the first day we acted out the "Magnificat"—the song of the Madonna's joy. I danced the part of the Madonna. When people saw me dance like that, they were all moved to tears and so happy. Marina was moved too and said, "I have no words." When I was dancing, Don Vito took a photograph to remember this dancer—to show other people when they visit that place.

Another day we went to the sea and swam and had fun.
The third day we drove to Castellana and made a pilgrimage together to a church where we saw the nativity scene.
Another day we drove to Alberobello to see the trulli, because it was far and we couldn't walk. It was very hot. The shops were open with so many interesting things; our friend Nicla was happy to buy some pretty little souvenirs to remember it all. Friday night we put on a festival. Some people danced, others sang. Marilù, Mario, Vitino, and Mario Pagliarulo did a little skit to make people laugh—they acted out a husband and wife watching television that talked back to them, and at the end they argued because they couldn't agree.

People from Monopoli were at the camp too: Vanna, Stella, and others. I started making friends with the new people. The days were warm and beautiful and I had so much fun because we did so many lovely things. I helped set the tables, I helped people who were having trouble. I didn't sleep alone in my room—I slept with my friends from Fede e Luce. I was sad my cousin Grazia wasn't there.
When it was the last day, I started to cry because I didn't want to leave these friends who had become so dear to me. I was sad to leave that wonderful place. I hope we do another camp next year. I came home feeling more peaceful and calm.
