Cuneo, January 25

We held a gathering here in Cuneo last Sunday. Around 2:30 p.m., we met at "Stella Mattutina," which kindly opened its doors to us. We began with games—piñata breaking, skittles, riddles, and more—in which the young people, sisters, parents, and friends all took part.
At 4:00 p.m., while some friends continued playing with the young people, the others met with parents and sisters to discuss various matters.
At 5:00 p.m., the young people joined us. Since Don Romano couldn't come to celebrate the Eucharist, we prayed together instead. We read a passage from the Gospel, offered some spontaneous prayers, and sang two hymns.

We ended the gathering with a joyful meal—everyone brought something, mostly homemade sweets.

It was wonderful, as all our meetings are. The longer we spend time together, the better we know one another, and the more we feel united in joy.

Vercelli

On January 5, we gathered to celebrate Christmas together.
Friends from Cuneo were with us, as was Sister Italia, who came from Rome to represent the Faith and Light community there.

We had a living nativity. The Magi came bearing gifts for a sick child who lacked even basic necessities. The young people carried out their roles with great seriousness, and the friends and parents present participated deeply.

After Mass, we spent time together singing and meeting in small groups, deepening the bonds of friendship among us.

Abano

On December 7, 1975, Miss Anna Mazzarotto passed away. She had founded the Faith and Light group in Abano. Of her, it was said: "For more than three years she gave herself silently to people with handicaps—they were the center of her heart—tending to them with patient and generous care."

In her final days, "when people spoke to her of human hopes, she would answer by speaking of God's designs."

"Looking back at her life, we can only say: it is true, it is true—even now, the promises of Jesus can be fulfilled in us: Blessed are you! We saw it in her serenity, in her constantly encouraging smile, in the hopeful courage of Miss Anna."

And All the Rest

We know that gatherings have also taken place in Parma, Salerno, and Agrigento, and new friends continue to join us.

We urge everyone to send us news, reports, letters, articles—anything at all, even just a few lines.

This magazine is, and means to remain, a bulletin connecting all of us. But it can only do that with your help.
