If I have to wear a mask to get out without people giving me a hard time, then I wear a mask. But a lot of the people I run into don't wear one. I still don't understand any of it, to be honest. Anyway, I stopped going to school. The school closed down. We said goodbye in video lessons and I didn't like that at all.
Next year I'm changing schools because in the third year of hotel management you pick a specialty, and I chose Front of House. We do Front of House at the Gioberti Institute on via della Paglia, not on via dei Genovesi where I've been going. They're both in Trastevere, close by, but it's a different building. There are ten kids in my class who picked Front of House. I got a 10 this year in Front of House—that's what we call it, Sala. You can see your grades on the computer.
I'm really proud of myself for my report card. I went by myself to Cisalfa at viale Marconi to buy myself a gift. I got a bunch of t-shirts and some cropped pants. The cashier gave me a discount voucher for August. I didn't want it and I told her over and over that I'm not in Rome in August because I'm at the beach. She insisted anyway and I took it, but I won't use it. Maybe—and I mean maybe—I'll get myself a few more gifts. I don't know. I was very good and the teachers said so. They told me I went to all the video lessons and studied more than I used to.
But I had nothing to do at home and I was really happy there were video lessons because then I had something to do and I could see my classmates and teachers. Still, I hope we don't do video lessons anymore or only sometimes. I want to go to school and work at my desk. I don't want to stay home. Here's my report card:
