Parks for All: Milan Opens Its Third Accessible Playground

Milan will inaugurate a new accessible park at the Giardini Martinetti. The opening, scheduled for Saturday, September 28 at 11:30 a.m., marks the third milestone of the "Parks for All" project. After Parco Montanelli in 2018 and Villa Finzi Gardens last June, children and families will now have another fully accessible, fully equipped playground.

The ribbon cutting will take place at 11:30 with representatives from the City of Milan and the organizations that made the project possible. Games and festivities will follow for all children.
Marco Rasconi, national president of UILDM, will attend the event. The playground was made possible in part through UILDM and the "Learning Through Play" initiative.
The opening of Giardini Martinetti is part of the Milan Green Week, a city initiative promoting green spaces and environmental awareness.

Parks for All is a project led by Fondazione di Comunità Milano and the City of Milan in partnership with L'abilità, UILDM, ANFFAS, Inter Campus, and the Italian Union of the Blind and Partially Sighted. The project aims to create an accessible playground in each of Milan's nine districts.

Alongside Parks for All, UILDM and L'abilità, supported by Fondazione Cariplo, are launching "Playing Together," a workshop for preschools and elementary schools across Milan. It offers children an important chance to learn about the value of diversity and inclusion.
