During the lockdown, I missed friends and colleagues. Now that restrictions have eased, I can go outside and see the nature blooming in the Torre organic garden, enjoy hiking in the mountains, and share in music and community.

During the lockdown, I missed my friends and colleagues at work. Now that almost everything has reopened—with precautions—I've had the chance to get outside and see nature in bloom at the Torre organic garden. I've taken advantage of it to bring home some produce, which made my mother happy. The last time I saw my supervisors, they mentioned planning a trip to the mountains. I'm glad about that, since I spend so much time in the city. I have the gear for long walks and I always bring my camera to sketch the landscapes I love. I'll suggest places I already know—spots where we'll also eat well.

As for music, I want to tell you about a livestream that the director of the Girasole Centro anziani in San Saturnino recommended. It showed a group of elderly people how to do vocal exercises, all accompanied by her on the piano. She delighted us with songs like "La Vie en Rose" and other new pieces, including a new song the retirees wrote themselves. The broadcast was lovely—filmed in her study at home, her in a long dress with her hair tied back, with an old bookcase full of family memories visible behind her.
