My Friend Gimbo Won the Olympics

My friend Gimbo won the Olympics. He always makes me laugh so much. He's so funny. He jokes around. I crack up when he sends me videos and says "Benedettaaaaaaaaa". Because of COVID, I'm sad it's been so many months since I've seen him in person. Because we can't. I see him in videos on WhatsApp and on television. Now I saw him on TV at the Olympics when he won. The people with me were laughing because after he won he was screaming and throwing himself on the ground. They said they'd never seen anyone do that before and they thought it was hilarious. But I know Gimbo and I know he's totally crazy and does weird things. He's so funny because he's really kind. At first I only saw him on TV and it made me laugh that he shaved off only half his beard. Then when we saw each other we became friends and we text and send each other messages with videos and voice notes. I jump a lot with him. I like it when I lie down on that big soft mattress and bounce on it. We jump together. Sometimes hand in hand and sometimes just next to each other. I tell him it's more fun to jump on the big mattress on your belly and stay lying down with your arms spread wide. And he does it with me. Then I go under the bar because it's easier. And he laughs and says he doesn't understand because he trains so much to go over the bar without knocking it down. But under is easier. I really like Gimbo and I cheer for him because when we see each other he hangs out with me. I'm happy he won the Olympics. He gave his medal to the other person who won and the other person gave his medal to Gimbo. I was clapping my hands and singing the Italian national anthem. But Gimbo had hurt himself really badly and was walking with crutches. His foot was in a cast. He was crying because it hurt and they even operated on him in the hospital. But then he got better and he won. And I'm really happy about that. I hope so much to see him really soon so we can jump together. And when he jumps he gets everyone to clap their hands and that's really fun and everyone cheers and tells him he's great even if he messes up. He has a girlfriend and his girlfriend is really pretty and really nice too. But otherwise I would have married him.
