Me, Lorenza, and the Ham

Me, Lorenza, and the Ham

I don't know if I like shopping. I really don't. I never quite figured it out. Who knows. Everyone tells me to take some money and go to the store and buy something. But why do I have to do that? I don't know. But in the end I do go. I go mostly with my friend Lorenza. I have my wallet with money that I keep in my shoulder bag. Mom puts paper money in it and coins too. So what do I do? I go into the clothes store and buy myself a shirt. I point to it and tell the cashier and I pay. And I leave. Mom tells me: but why do you only buy shirts, you have a thousand of them! But it's easier to buy a shirt. It's right there when you walk in. You don't have to try it on in the little room. Like you do with pants. Trying on pants is tiring. You have to take your shoes off and I don't want to. And if I have to put on a jacket I have to take something off. Better to buy a shirt. The cashier asks if I want to pick a color. I say one at random, I don't really care. And if I don't like it later, too bad. I pay and I wait for my change and I put it right back in my wallet. I go home with the bag with the shirt in it. Mom says I could go to another store that doesn't sell clothes. I go to the supermarket with grandma. I don't go by myself. I don't like going by myself. Mom says she'll give me a list of things I need to buy but why do I have to be the one to go? I don't know. With Lorenza I go buy ham and a soft roll for my school snack. Sometimes I buy cheese slices and mozzarella for my sandwich too. Sometimes I buy birthday presents with Mom. What would I like to buy? I don't know. I hear everyone wants video games and a PlayStation. I don't like games but I could buy them anyway. I don't know what I want as a gift. I don't want anything. I'm happy with a kiss and a hug because you can't buy those in a store anyway.
