Or rather, let's say for all those interested in the Lourdes pilgrimage this April '81 — those who will travel there in person, and those who cannot go but will be with us in spirit.

Since the trip to Lourdes will cost most of us a great deal, we all need to pitch in and do whatever we can to raise money and bring down everyone's share. We've started several fundraising projects, and we're organizing a sale that will take place November 29th from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. and November 30th from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. at the parish hall of S. Gioacchino (Piazza dei Quiriti no. 21).

The sale will have two sections: new items and used goods. If you have children's clothes that no longer fit, books, dishes, baby shoes, toys, household items—anything you no longer need—please offer them for our used goods table. Ask your friends, family, and neighbors to do the same.

For new items: if you know how to sew, knit, or do other crafts, start now. We need sweaters, baby layette sets, skirts, blouses, ceramics, bracelets, necklaces, Christmas items, calendars, homemade sweets, preserves, wine, and more. Please ask your friends to contribute too.

Don't wait until the last day to bring things in — everything needs to be sorted, priced, and prepared for sale. We'll also need volunteers to help during the sale itself. There's a lot to do. If anyone has experience running sales like this, we'd welcome your advice.

If you'd like to help during the sale or need more information, please get in touch.
