What do we expect from a vacation? Rest, fun, time for the things we love, friendship, laughter, jokes. And maybe—why not?—a chance to slow down and step back, spending time with ourselves and with God.

At Fede e Luce camp, you get all of that (well, for some people rest isn't exactly the priority...) and so much more. A week in community means entire days together. It means time to talk, to know each other, to discover each person's habits and passions. It means matching the pace of someone who moves slowly or takes time to eat—and finding that in those unhurried moments there are real gifts. It means real chances to think deeply about the themes shared each day, and that's easier when we're talking about friendship, welcome, joy, faithfulness, love—because we see concrete examples all around us.

The style varies: some camps plan every minute, others leave plenty of room to rest; some share the work of cooking and cleaning among everyone, others let people sit down to a ready-made meal. But the goal of any camp is the same: share days together, build community.

Dani's contagious laugh, Silvia's gentleness, Matteo's music, the games we played with Arianna, Paola's swimming, walks with Daniela, Nutella parties, dancing into the night, leftover fish tossed to the gulls—these become memories that stick with you. When they come back, they bring a smile. Those feelings don't fade. Only the sad look at the end of the week disappears—because next year's camp will be even better.
