The first day was when we all left together Thursday morning in a small minibus.

We sang in the bus. My cousin Grazia was with us and the other young people.

I had a wonderful time.

We stopped at a service station. We all ate and left again at one o'clock.

In Assisi there were many communities from Fede e Luce.

There was Valeria from Rome, there were those girls from Marzocca, from Senigallia, and so on, and there was Miss Luisa Spada.

We went to the rooms that a woman at the hotel showed us. We fixed up the beds in the bedrooms for the evening.

We arrived tired from the long journey. We went down and ate good food at the restaurant. Then we went to the theater and performed a little play called "Praised Be My Lord."

All the people there applauded very much. We went to the theater. All the performers were tired.

The next morning we all went on a walk to visit the Church of Santa Chiara. In that church there was also "Gianni Vagné," who shared his testimony.

They said Holy Mass. When we got back to Casa Franchi we went to sleep.

Our suitcases were on a table in the bedroom. We slept well.

The next day we got up. My parents got up too. We washed a little and then I got dressed. I was wearing a skirt and a blouse.

Those girls from Marzocca were very surprised when they saw me. They made a big fuss.

The first day the pasta with sauce was good.

The second day the little pasta in broth was good.

There was also a family from Bari. They had a daughter named Manuela who is somewhat handicapped.

It makes me sad when this person starts to cry very much.

It made me sad when we had to leave on Sunday. The girl from Marzocca got emotional in church.

I loved the Church of Santa Chiara, and I loved the other churches too.

There were also beautiful, very elegant shops.

In another part there was the Church of the Angels, which was lovely.

There was a landscape of many beautiful houses. When we left, we all felt a little sad. In church I cried seeing my friend Marina, who got emotional too. When the Bishop spoke to us there in the church in Assisi, he said: "Come back to Assisi again" — not "Go, Mass is over!"
