Dear friends,
Many of you have written asking how I did in the race on June 8th at the Tre Fontane Paralympic Center. Your interest means so much to me, and I'm thrilled to share the wonderful news: I won first place in the 25-meter backstroke again this year! More than ever, I'm motivated to keep pursuing my passion for sport. As I said in my last piece, there are sacrifices to make—but I'm ready for them if they lead me toward a future in athletics.
Nothing scares me about that, and nothing ever will. I'm an optimistic girl, and I'm incredibly proud of what I've achieved.
