When I get a call about an appointment, I'm happy because it means I have to go somewhere with a real reason to be with other people.

When I get a call about an appointment, I'm happy because it means I have to go somewhere with a real reason to be with other people. On weekends I know I'll have plans! When it's time to leave, on the day we've set, I bring everything I need: my backpack with clothes, gloves, and so on. As soon as I step outside and get in the car, I know the fun is starting. Rocca Monfina is a beautiful place to be with people I know, and the sleeping room is nice too. The moment when we gather is wonderful: chestnuts lie on the ground—they mean fertility, gold lying on the ground—and then hours pass, and you can see the view with houses, the woods with their spiky shells. And for people who come from Rome and Naples, chestnuts are still a reason to be together.
