Once again this year, we had the joy of spending eight days camping in Cogne.
It was a different experience from last year's, because many friends were away taking their high school final exams. And we were grateful for Anna Maria, who despite everything made her Cogne house available to us.
Being a smaller group, we had the chance to know each other better, to talk about our problems and our difficulties—varied and of different weights.
We felt the need to increase our meetings so we could build a stronger friendship with everyone, without wasting the good moments or the chances to reach out to one another.
So we proposed meeting at least once a week, perhaps in small groups suited to different needs: going to a film, getting pizza, or simply talking and spending time playing—in ways that would let everyone, in their own way, take part and have fun.
Along with the games and walks, there were small moments of prayer in which, after reading a passage from the Gospel, we would reflect and each try to bring it into our daily lives.
We discovered how useful these small moments were and how much we needed them.
To sum up, we want to say that this camp—even if less lively and eventful than last year's—was especially important to us.
With greater care, we managed to spend time together in ways we think left everyone content.
