Don Gnocchi: A Life for Others — Book Review
Cover "Don Gnocchi"

This new edition brings back a graphic novel illustrated by Sergio Toppi and written by Beppe Ramello, condensing the life of Don Carlo Gnocchi into just 50 pages.

The book includes a chronological summary of the blessed man's key life events, along with some of his own reflections. A Life for Others is an excellent way to discover—or rediscover—Don Carlo's story simply and without demanding much effort.

The graphic format makes it accessible even to younger readers, though Toppi's drawing style is rooted in the old school and may not appeal to children accustomed to more dynamic, colorful artwork.

Still, it's far more engaging than a traditional book—at least as a starting point for learning about the life and calling of the "father of the disabled soldiers."
