Dear Friends,
Merry Christmas to all of you, each one of you. May it be filled with deep peace for every heart.

We didn't want this season to pass without reaching out — with a smaller issue — to feel once again united as one family in Faith and Light.

Two thousand years ago, "there was no room for them."

Where do we stand today, in 1981, the year dedicated to the disabled person?

Some — after years of effort and small steps forward — have found their place, in the hearts of friends, in schools, at work, in their parishes.

But how many are still alone, still without a place?

To reach the most isolated and the loneliest, we have decided to dedicate the final issue of Insieme '81 to Faith and Light (its spirit, its life, its community, its work, its identity). It will be a printed edition — many copies — that we can send to all who write to us from the north, from the south, from distant and forgotten corners of the world.

This issue will require substantial work and won't be ready before February.

That's why we're reaching you with these pages now, carrying the warmth and affection of all the friends of Faith and Light, here in Italy and around the world.
