They depart Saturday, October 8, from Bologna and arrive in Rome on the 15th—after cycling more than 300 kilometers and climbing 5,750 meters of elevation. Organized by L'Arche Community l'Arcobaleno in Bologna to mark twenty years of service, the journey brings together six tandems and a core team of sixteen people: seven with disabilities, six tandem guides, and three drivers managing three vehicles (a minibus and car for passengers, plus a van for the tandems).
Volunteers from Amici di Arche APS, FIAB, and the Italian Army will support the ride as guides and logistical help. Beyond practical assistance, they aim to create moments of genuine encounter and mutual growth. Partner organizations across the disability network—including Fede e Luce—who share L'Arche's values and vision will also contribute support and logistics for the journey.
