Baglioni and the Kangaroo

Benedetta on a concert and her work at Merè
Baglioni and the Kangaroo
Benedetta at Claudio Baglioni's concert

I went to Claudio Baglioni's concert at the Palaeur twice. I had such a good time because I sing and dance. The concert is really long. More than three hours. I get there early and eat ham sandwiches. I drink water, but you can't keep the cap on and I have to be careful or I'll get soaked. I love it because there are so many people and I introduce myself and start talking to whoever's sitting near me. Baglioni is kind and he sends me birthday wishes, even with a video and a voice message. The song I love most and know all the words to is Questo piccolo grande amore. It starts like this: "Quella sua maglietta fina." Then I really love Porta Portese because it's close to my house. I passed by Porta Portese when I was studying at the Gioberti hotel school in Trastevere. And I was always singing "Porta Portese cosa avrai di più." Especially when I was stopped at red lights in the car. That was fun. I also love Viva l'Inghilterra so much because I dance. When I like a song I stand up, like when he sings Noi no, E adesso la pubblicità, A tutto cuore and lots of others. There are also so many dancers doing backflips. But I don't know the words to all the songs so I pretend I do and just say "la la la." I also make videos on my phone and some selfies. One fun thing is when I stand behind people taking selfies so I end up in their photos too. I'm happy the Baglioni concert ends after midnight. I like coming home really late. In the morning I get up early anyway. Work at Merè is going really well. I work hard and I have fun. I love setting the table, bringing plates, and clearing them. I'm really fast. They call me "kangaroo" because when I clear the table to speed things up I put all the papers and napkins in the big pocket of my apron and then empty it out. I go to Merè every day and I hate when Saturday and Sunday come because I don't go. My coworkers are really great and nice, they teach me so many things. I get along well with them and I'm so happy when we finish work, the customers have left, and we eat together. It's beautiful.
