Efrem Sardella
A 46-year-old from Monopoli in Puglia, he is an indefatigable worker. Service in the parish and meetings with friends from Faith and Light are certainly his favorite hobbies, but above all Efrem likes to work. Unfortunately for a person with a disability this is an even more difficult achievement than for others. He had told us about it the last time he wrote in no. 155. Back then we had left him dealing with printing at a small publishing house, so let's say at approximately the middle of the 1400s. Now we find him again at the end of the 1700s, involved in the labor struggles of pre-Victorian England. It is the Industrial Revolution. Machines are replacing workers. And Efrem won't have it. He has lost his job and he is angry. And he writes about it to his former colleagues.
