From the Archives

"How do you respond to a newborn who won't reach out his arms to you and refuses all physical contact? What do you do with a child who bites or scratches you instead of hugging you, and who never cries when you put him down?" This is how Arme-Marguerite Vexian captured autism in one of the articles from Issue 55 of Ombre e Luci, published in 1996 and devoted entirely to this condition. Testimonies and reflections from Henri Bissonier, Francesca Trionfi, Filippo Ascenzi, and Denise Herbaudiere.
