I have a dog named Briciola! We got her when she was four, from a shelter in the province of Como. She keeps me wonderful company and we play together all the time. My mom bathes her, brushes her, and I pet her constantly. During the pandemic, she was there for me so much. I'd throw the ball and loved watching her run to get it. Briciola and I get along perfectly—she just lacks the gift of speech. If she could talk, we'd have the longest conversations! She barks a lot; it's her way of talking to me. Every time I come home, she throws a party for me. She's such a playful thing. Often she lies at the foot of my bed and stays there with me until she falls asleep. She's my best friend, and little by little she won my heart because she fills my days with joy. I love watching her wag her tail—those funny little eyes of hers crack me up.
All Briciola Needs Is Words
If my dog could talk, we'd have the longest conversations!
