Ombre e Luci has long been committed to supporting parents who welcome children with disabilities into their families.
In this issue, our magazine devotes its dossier to families who have adopted a child knowing he or she was handicapped—not to praise them (that is certainly not what they want), but to listen to their stories and express our gratitude.
Adopt a handicapped child? A mad scheme? Or a calling. These pages aim to illuminate the courage and wisdom that sustain this choice, always remembering that its source and strength come from the Father, and that in the truest sense we are all adopted children.
