The nonprofit Abili oltre, a smart community dedicated to designing and implementing inclusive employment models, partnered with Ferrovie dello Stato on an artistic project bringing together young people with and without disabilities to create twelve street-art works.

The pieces, mounted on large-format panels, will be installed in major railway hubs across the national network.
The graphic designs celebrate twelve famous figures with disabilities who achieved remarkable accomplishments across diverse fields: sports, art, science, technology, music, and theater.

«Abili Oltre exists so that every ability has the chance to flourish—and in doing so, guarantees all citizens, whether they are strong or weak, first or last, the most fundamental human and social value: the dignity of the person and their work. The graphic works we're displaying are, and mean to be, a manifesto of the possibility of integration among different abilities» says Marino D'Angelo, president of the nonprofit. «Our partnership with Ferrovie dello Stato shows commitment to the world of disabled people, too often pushed to the margins. Train stations become—now more than ever—a gathering place to reflect on the positive contributions that people with disabilities bring in terms of intelligence, ideas, and sensitivity to the cultural and civic growth of our country. We're confident these works will capture the attention of the thousands of people who pass through our stations each day, and we hope they will spark broader awareness of diversity as a value».
