The municipality of Cuccaro Vetere, led by Mayor Aldo Luongo, is pursuing funding through the U.N.R.R.A. Lire Fund for 2019 to carry out a project titled "Animals and Quality of Life."

The municipality plans to establish, on a pilot basis, an equestrian rehabilitation center primarily serving children with disabilities. The center will offer a safe environment where people with disabilities—those with mild functional limitations—can participate in structured activities for several hours each day. Programs both inside and outside the center are designed to combat isolation and social exclusion among people with disabilities, preserve their level of independence, and support families in caring for their disabled relatives.

The project aims to assist the area's most vulnerable families in caring for disabled family members. The total cost is approximately 88,000 euros.
